Climbing at “The Warehouse” Gloucester

19 Aug

Well readers, today has been quite a boring day.

I woke up at about 9am, had breakfast, got ready then went for a 7 mile run down Gloucester canal path, (training for the Australian iron-man competition 2011).

After the short run I visited the gym to train amoungst the all the old timers and the regulars, boring as usual but any training is good training.

Then making a few phone calls I managed to book another weekends skydiving at Netheravon army parachuting airclub. (11th / 12th September).

Next on my agenda was my favorite place in Gloucester, Gloucester Climbing centre also known as the warehouse, only a short walk from my house and college. Recently I have been spending more and more time there after finding that climbing has a almost therapeutic effect on the mind (except from when I fall). The thing I most like about the warehouse is that everybody is so friendly and seems to have a mutual respect for each other which can only be a bonus.

The area that I use most in the warehouse is the bouldering room due to the fact that is is out of the way, quiet and well equipped. Also due to that fact that bouldering is climbing without ropes it gives great practise for my free climbing. Bouldering is a great source of upper body exercise and gives a great sense of achievement.

I truly recommend the warehouse climbing centre (Gloucester).

Review of exelement.co.uk

18 Aug

Recently I saw an advert for Exelement on a skydiving website for extreme sports days. So being me I decided to take a quick look and see if they had anything that may interest me. After a quick ponder around their website I discovered that they had many different “sports days” available.

The one that immediately caught my eye was bungee jumping, a “sport” that I had heard so much about yet never had the bottle to do it and for £49 I couldn’t resist the opportunity.

The payment was easy to do on their website and after being given all the info I needed via their live chat facility I was ready for the jump day.

I eagerly awaited the day of the jump in Bristol for two weeks over the city river.

The day was exiting and very well organised, I was surprised of the adrenalin rush that the jump gave. Top marks to Exelement and I will definitely do some of their other activities.

Hello world!

15 Aug

Hello world, a new day and a new blog appears.

This blog is going to be a bit unique as far as blogs go because, well, it is going to be about all the things that I do.

Now then, you may think that this is the most booring idea of a blog ever and I would have to agree with you, if I was a normal person living a regular life.

I am unique as far as people go because I am a bit of an adrenalin junkie / extreme sports person.

I do the following activities and will blog about them regularly with photos and videos;

Skydiving

Base jumping

Skiing

Snowboarding

Surfing

Scuba Diving

Free Climbing

Photography (in-house and sports)

I am investing in a new sports camera called the GoPro camera to create stunning point of view videos.

If you have any ideas about what else I should do just leave a comment bellow :) .
